There is no sign of survivors from Sunday's early morning airplane crash that had 92 passengers on board, majority members of the Red Army Choir, Russia's Defense Ministry said. After scouring the Black Sea for survivors, the Russian Defense Ministry announced all people on board Tu-154 were considered dead. The plane was carrying 82 passengers and 10 crew members, Interfax news agency reported. (more...)

Brent futures for February delivery fell by 20 cents to $54.26 a barrel by 1200 GMT, having finished 89 cents lower on Wednesday. Crude West Texas Intermediate lost 28 cents, to 52.22 dollars a barrel. Prices also rose as Libya~s National Oil Corporation (NOC) said it hoped to add 270,000 barrels per day to national production after it confirmed on Tuesday that pipelines leading from the Sharara and El Feel fields had reopened. It has been established that #Afriqiyah flight has 111 passengers on board. Two Libyan hijackers surrendered to authorities in Malta after threatening to use hand grenades to blow up a plane they diverted from Libya. The flight was carrying 109 passengers including some crew members who have driven away into buses from Malta International Airport. The tiny Mediterranean island of Malta is located around 500 km ( 300 miles ) north of the Libyan coast. (more...)
