Binyamin Netanyahu called off the meeting with his German counterpart after Gabriel made a decision to go ahead with talks with Israeli rights groups Breaking The Silence and B'Tselem, an anonymous Israeli official said. Mr Gabriel has been Germany's foreign minister since January and its vice chancellor since 2013. There will be another occasion to meet somewhere. Released each year by the global organization Reporters Without Borders ( RSF ), the index ranks 180 countries/territories according to the freedom allowed to journalists. RSF secretary-general Christophe Deloire said. It added that Trump's "hate speech" helped unleash attacks on the media "almost everywhere in the world", including in countries with long democratic traditions, such as Britain, France and Italy.
