Reports of an active shooter near Interstate 580 in Oakland shut down a section of the highway Friday morning and caused a lockdown at a high school, officials said. According to the affidavit, federal agents had gotten a tip that the 33-year-old woman had entered the country after being deported multiple times and were looking for her at the El Paso County Courthouse on February 9. El Paso leaders are sending a message to federal immigration authorities that the County Courthouse is not a place to enforce immigration laws. A two-alarm blaze damaged several cars and forced the evacuation of a Disneyland parking structure Monday evening. Park visitors were allowed to retrieve their vehicles just before 7 p.m., according to Anaheim police. Administrators at Yale University announced on Saturday that a college named for John Calhoun, a former U.S. vice-president who was an ardent supporter of slavery, will be renamed after sustained protest and activism from students. Salovey said that Calhoun meets the criteria for those exceptional circumstances set out in the university's new renaming guidelines.
