Battle for Azeroth Kicks Off BlizzCon 2017

World of Warcraft has changed in many ways since first launching in 2004, and Classic will hopefully recreate that original package without the server problems that plagued its release.

The announcement of Blizzard Vanilla servers got nearly as manic a reaction as the expansion. The Horde (the "outcasts" of Azeroth, the orcs who came from a different world mostly) and the Alliance (mostly the humans) hate each other, and so, with this expansion, will go at each other's throats. As such, they seem to already be cautioning players that it will take them sometime to actually activate these servers for public use.

Two new systems coming to World of Warcraft with its seventh expansion are Island Expeditions and Warfronts. So stay tuned to GameZone for the latest on World of Warcraft Classic. "As a new age of warfare begins, Azeroth's heroes must set out on a journey to recruit new allies, race to claim the world's mightiest resources in order to turn the tides of war, and fight on several fronts to determine whether the Horde or Alliance will lead Azeroth into its uncertain future". The time for compromise has passed, however, and now Azeroth is on the brink of world war.

Announced during the Blizzcon 2017 opening ceremony, World of Warcraft Classic is now in development, although a specific release date remains unknown.

The great news is this new feature will also work with WoW's previous expansions.

As you might expect from a new WoW expansion, Battle for Azeroth is launching with a wealth of new content for players to dive into.

The next expansion for World of Warcraft, Battle of Azeroth, was announced, alongside plans to expand the level scaling system from Legion to the whole game and the pending arrival of the long-requested vanilla servers.

A beta test for Battles for Azeroth will be taking place, and you can opt into it through the official site. The upgrade brings with it two new continents, a new level gap, and a bunch of other features (you can find more details on the pack here).

This weekend, Blizzard and its loyal base of fans have gathered in Anaheim, CA for BlizzCon, the annual convention and biggest event of the year for the gaming giant.
