Russia Investigation: Republicans Leaking Info on Trump Dossier, Attorney Says

"Never seen such Republican ANGER & UNITY as I have concerning the lack of investigation on Clinton made Fake Dossier (now $12,000,000?), the Uranium to Russian Federation deal, the 33,000 plus deleted Emails, the Comey fix and so much more", Trump wrote. CNN said the target of the charges was unclear.

'The Dems are using this awful (and bad for our country) Witch Hunt for evil politics, but the R's are now fighting back like never before, ' he continued. While Schiff called Trump's pardon of Arpaio "a awful precedent", he said the president's power is not unlimited and can't be used to obstruct justice.

The Republican lawmakers said they want to know if the transaction was fully investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and other agencies before a panel that oversees foreign investment in US strategic assets approved it.

The Trump dossier has become the focus of fierce partisan battles, with Trump and allies arguing the allegations it contains are politically motivated.

'There is so much GUILT by Democrats/Clinton, and now the facts are pouring out.

For example, Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, a Republican from Iowa, has voiced concerns the the FBI might have started its investigation into Trump and Russian Federation using this opposition research, tainting it from the start.

The Washington Post was first to report news of the Clinton campaign and the DNC's involvement with Fusion GPS. Fusion had hired former British intelligence officer Christopher Steele to conduct the research.

She added that they were most likely aware of the Democrats role in the preparation of this document. The Clinton campaign paid $5.6 million in legal fees to Perkins Coie, which brokered funding to Fusion GPS, from June 2015 to December 2016, according to campaign finance records cited by The Post. The DNC paid the law firm more than $2.9 million for "legal and compliance consulting" and reported $66,500 for research consulting.

"These investigations were initiated on a partisan basis, and will shed no light on Russia's interference in the 2016 election, but then again they are not meant to do so", Representative Adam Schiff, the ranking Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, said Tuesday in a statement.

"They absolutely need to be recalled", Collins said on "Face the Nation".

The alleged collusion between Trump and Russian Federation became the focal point of the research after it was taken over by the Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee (DNC).

Several of the individuals involved in the uranium scandal are central to the Russian Federation investigation, including former FBI Director James Comey, former Attorney General Loretta Lynch, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, and special counsel for the Russian Federation investigation Robert Mueller.

On the same day, Elias' law firm, Perkins Coie, which represented the Clinton campaign and the DNC, confirmed it had hired Fusion GPS in April 2016.

Levy also alleges that when Fusion GPS co-founder Peter Fritsch and executive Thomas Catan appeared before the Committee last week, the fact that they had pleaded the Fifth Amendment to every question was leaked to outlets including Fox News-and the information could only have come from committee members or staff.

The House Intelligence Committee announced Saturday that Fusion GPS, the firm behind the anti-Trump files, has agreed to reveal its financial records.

The research effort expanded in March 2016 under financing from Democrats. But the State Department has only one seat on the panel that approved the transaction, and the New York Times has reported that Clinton did not participate in the decision.
