Facebook now adds direct food-ordering feature

Facebook Online Order Food Delivery App

On Friday, Facebook formally launched its new feature allowing users to order food from area restaurants using the app. The new option, "Order Food", is easy to find in the Explore menu on the Facebook app. The company announced today that users in the U.S. can use the platform to order food for takeout and delivery. If that restaurant is tied with the delivery service that Facebook has partnered with, you will be allowed to choose the service.

Facebook Order Food option has been in testing since past year, during which the company worked on adding more partners and address user feedback.

"People already go to Facebook to figure out what to eat by reading about nearby restaurants, and seeing what their friends say about them", Facebook says. Users can then select the Start Order option. Facebook has also tied up with food delivery experts like EatStreet, Delivery.com, DoorDash and Olo as well. Facebook is also working directly with some restaurant chains, such as Jack in the Box, Five Guys, Papa John's, Wingstop, TGI Friday's, Denny's, El Pollo Loco, Chipotle, Jimmy John's, and Panera.

Reminding you of your friends' birthdays, showing you which of your relatives is racist, meddling in global geopolitics. truly there is nothing Facebook can't do. Once you do, Facebook will bring up an in-app browser that takes you through the existing websites for Delivery.com and the others. The new service is rolling out today on iOS, Android, and via the web. It's ever so slightly faster if you're already on Facebook, I suppose - and good exposure for some of the services that users might not already be familiar with.

Facebook has developed a better relationship with businesses that specialize in food ordering for a period.

Facebook has 2 billion active users and they are increasing day by day.
