Pakistan, replying to Sri Lanka's mammoth first-innings total of 482, were 51-0 at close on the second day of the second day-night Test in Dubai on Saturday.

Dilruwan went on to score 58 off 76 balls, which included seven boundaries, before Sri Lanka began to lose wickets in a hurry. The match, second of the two-game series, is Sri Lanka's first day-night Test with the pink ball. The narrow win gives Sri Lanka a unique chance for a series win over Pakistan at their neutral venues of the UAE, where they have never lost a series in nine attempts. For them, Yasir Shah claimed 6 for 184, becoming the first spinner to take five-wicket hauls in five successive Tests.

Earlier, Lanka got off to a steady start as Kaushal Silva and Karunaratne added 63 runs for the first wicket, frustrating Pakistan bowlers.

Pakistani bowlers were quite unsuccessful in that day except Yasir Shah. Having failed to score off 14 of the 17 balls Wahab bowled to him after he got to 190, Karunaratne poked at a short delivery that came back slightly off the seam.

Sarfraz Ahmed, the Pakistan skipper, was confident his team staging a comeback. He passed fifty for the second time in the series just after the tea break, before edging Mohammad Abbas behind, finishing with 52 off 53 balls.

Pakistan vs Sri Lanka 2nd Test in Dubai will be broadcasted live on PTV Sports for & Sony Pictures Network on both SD and HD channels. Sri Lankan batting has put Pakistan under submission as their bowlers toiled hard on an unyielding Dubai stadium pitch.

Amir left the field in the afternoon session due to a shin injury that will prevent the paceman from bowling in the second innings and keep him out of the one-day global series. But, debutant Sadeera Samarawickrama scored a promising 38 in his first innings and shared a 68-run stand for the second wicket, taking the score to 131-2. His first stint of five-fors in four consecutive Tests came in 1990, during a back-to-back home series against New Zealand and West Indies.

After Karunaratne was out, Sri Lanka slid.
