Las Vegas Shooter Stephen Paddock Gambled For $10000 Per Day

Searches of the home of Stephen Paddock inset are yet to uncover a motive for his shooting into a crowd in Las Vegas

Danley was out of the country when Stephen Paddock, 64, rained bullets down on concert-goers on the Las Vegas Strip on Sunday night, killing 58 and injuring hundreds more, and relatives quoted her as saying she knew nothing about his diabolical plan.

Interviewed with her face blurred so she could remain anonymous, one of Danley's sisters told Australia's 7 News she believed Paddock had deliberately sent her away.

The Las Vegas shooter's girlfriend assured her family she has a "clean conscience" in the wake of Sunday night's deadly rampage, her brother told ABC News today in the Philippines. He reiterated police had no other suspects in the shooting itself.

She and Geary Danley reportedly divorced in 2015 and she was living with Paddock in Mesquite, Nevada, 130km from Las Vegas.

When Stephen Paddock's live-in girlfriend returns to the US after visiting her family in the Philippines, investigators are going to want to know what she knows about a $100,000 wire transfer to an account in her native country.

Clark County Sheriff Joseph Lombardo has named her a "person of interest" and says the Federal Bureau of Investigation is bringing her back to the USA for questioning.

Fresh details about the massacre and the arsenal Paddock amassed emerged on Tuesday.

Footage from inside the hotel also revealed Mr Paddock had set up a camera on what appeared to be a room service cart in the hotel hallway to warn him when police were getting close. Police recovered 19 guns, as well as explosive material and large quantities of ammunition, from the home Paddock and Danley shared.

Investigators found that he also had a computer and 12 "bump stock" devices that can make an ordinary rifle fire incessantly like an assault rifle.

Neighbours have said the couple mostly kept to themselves and were frequently away for weeks at a time on gambling trips.

The guns were bought in Nevada, Utah, California and Texas, said Jill Snyder, special agent in charge of ATF field division in San Francisco.

They eventually determined she was in Tokyo. The Associated Press put the death toll at 59 Wednesday.

More than 500 people were injured, some trampled in the pandemonium. One question, you get your answer directly.

Police are not aware whether the devices were transmitting - the FBI is investigating their use - but the Clark County sheriff told reporters he thinks the shooter might have used them to watch for people approaching his room.

While investigators had not ruled out the possibility of mental illness or some form of brain injury, "there's no evidence of that, either", the official said.

Paddock's violent transformation has mystified everyone - his brother, investigators and the families he victimized included.

Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo told reporters that he is "absolutely" confident detectives will be able to determine his motive. "I will bet any amount of money that they will not find any link to anything. he did this completely by himself". They said they want people to know that social media has spun this out of control and jumped to conclusions that their father was involved.
