IPhone X is Expensive, but People Still Want It

Apple’s iPhone 8 Plus allegedly ‘explodes’ whilst on charge

In a development that could spell bad news for Apple, pictures of the newly-launched iPhone 8 bursting open while charging have emerged online.

The timing is significant because Apple unveiled its latest models, the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X, in September and generally gets a boost from excitement around its new launches.

Last year, some iPhone 7 and 7 Plus users complained the devices made a hissing or buzzing sound when processor-intensive apps, such as games, were used.

As of now, it remains unclear if the issues are isolated cases or if there is a wider problem in terms of the iPhone 8 Plus' manufacturing. At least two owners have reported that their devices have split open; one of which happened right out of the box.

Users have shared images of the accident on social media websites.

The recently launched smartphone from the U.S. giant was reported to have experienced the swollen battery issue by a user in Taiwan on the third day of owning the device.

In the case of the Taiwanese owner, the iPhone 8 Plus was reportedly being charged when the front panel began to bulge and eventually lifted from the body of the device. Still, the phone keeps playing music until the 3.5 mm jack connected to the headphones.

Apple is working on getting those problems fixed, so the iPhone 8 will run like it's supposed to. The handsets look very similar to the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, but feature wireless charging and improved cameras. More than half of survey respondents who indicated an intention to buy the iPhone X said they'd choose the option with the most storage. Some problems caused the smartphone's battery to swell which in turn, split the smartphones. Well, it looks like Apple iPhone 8 Plus can be removed from the sale exactly the same as Samsung Note 7 past year, but while the official comment from Apple has not been received. An Apple spokesperson told MacRumors, " We are aware and are looking into it".
