Tipster to receive $10000 reward in Tennessee teacher's arrest

Tipster to receive $10000 reward in Tennessee teacher's arrest

Court documents say Kimberly Thomas beat Elizabeth and four of her siblings, and that Elizabeth told authorities her mother "banged her head into the agitator of the washing machine" and "threw her down the basement stairs and locked her down there".

"I go in there and tell her how much I missed her, how much I love her and how much her dog missed her", the father said.

Jill Cummins, who has filed for divorce, said her husband called her just days after his arrest. "I think she has the determination to really go somewhere in life".

As you may recall, the Tennessee teen made headlines after being abducted by her teacher, Tad Cummins, back in March.

Prior to disappearing, Cummins had been suspended from the high school where he taught social sciences and where Elizabeth Thomas was a student, after authorities became suspicious about their relationship.

"She had lost some weight for sure", Anthony Thomas said.

"I said, 'Well, did you sleep with her?' And he said, 'Yes, I did.' And I didn't want any details but I knew the truth". And then, there were times when we were upset at both, and then just at him.

Barry, a Brentwood native, found Thomas and Cummins in a secluded cabin in California near the OR border.

Earlier Tuesday, the girl's family expressed thanks for the public's support and said it's time to focus on the teen's recovery.

As we previously reported, Tad claims he didn't kidnap the Tennessee youth, but rather accompanied the teen cross country as Elizabeth was planning to run away whether he joined her or not.

Barry said he let Cummins and Thomas stay in a cabin on the property he was taking care of. He faces federal charges of kidnapping a minor and transporting her across state lines and state charges for aggravated kidnapping and sexual contact with a minor.

Cummins faces kidnapping and sex crime charges in California and Tennessee as well as a federal charge. In an interview with Inside Edition, Barry said that he initially did not recognize the two, but when he did, he called the police to report the sighting.

"She got excited over the food", he adds.

"He has called me many times", she said.

Barry gave them directions but warned Cummins that he probably wasn't a good fit for Black Bear Ranch and told him that if it didn't work out, he could feed them if he came back. "I don't trust him anymore and we'll never have what we had before". "I'm not allowed to ask her about things that happened along the way right now".
